General Info
 When will I receive my attendee packet?

     Attendee packets will be available at the onsite registration desk.  They will not be mailed prior to the convention.


Where is the convention held?

     Baltimore Convention Center, 1 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, Md.

What should I wear to attend the classes?

    Room temperatures inside the convention center vary and may be cool, so consider dressing in layers.

Registration

Will I receive a registration confirmation if I register online?

     All registrations should receive a confirmation.  If you have not received your confirmation please call (800)255-6864 ext. 6 or e-mail cvc@advanstar.com

 

How do I cancel my registration?

    To receive a full refund, minus a $50 processing fee, your registration cancellation must be made in writing by fax or mail post marked by March 10, 2010.

 

How do I show proof of student/recent grad status to receive a discount?

    Fax a copy of your student ID, diploma, etc.  to (913) 871- 3908 or mail to 8033 Flint, Lenexa, KS 66214

 

Are meals included in registration?

    All attendees will receive breakfast and lunch during each full days of CVC they are registered for.


Am I able to have access to the exhibit hall if I don’t attend CVC lectures?

     Exhibit-hall-only badges are available on site for $30 for veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members who are affiliated with a practice and/or not working for an industry company. If you are an exhibitor who is interested in purchasing an Exhibit-hall-only badge please call (800) 255-6864 ext. 3914.

 

Can I register onsite?  Will it cost more?

You may  register onsite for any programs that are not already sold out.  The cost will reflect post Early Bird registration prices.

 

 

Guests

What defines a Guest registration?

    Guests are spouses, significant others, and children not working in the veterinary industry

 

Are guests and children allowed in lectures?

     No, they will not be allowed admittance to lectures.  They will receive complimentary Exhibit-Hall-only badges when included on the advance registration form. On-site guest badges are $5.

 

 

CE

Are the lectures and programs offered during CVC AAVSB-RACE approved?

    The 2010 CVC program has been submitted for a maximum of 55 hours of credit for veterinarians in full attendance and 38 hours of credit for technicians over 4 days in jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval.

 

How do I track my CE?

   To record your CE hours, certificates off attendance will be included in your registration packet.

 

How much credit do I get for the classes?
   All lectures and programs are recorded hour-for-hour.  The number of hours you spend in lectures, labs, luncheons, etc. will reflect the numer of CE credits you earn. 


What happens if I lose my CE form?

Why should I stay at a CVC conference hotel?

    Our low rates beat any you’ll find on the Internet or by calling the hotel directly. Immediate confirmations - no waiting or wondering.  Update or even cancel your hotel reservations with no fees or penalties. Descriptions, photos and maps to help you choose the perfect hotel.

 

I have not received hotel confirmation.  Who should I call ?
  
All booking, modification, or cancellations will receive a confirmation.  If you don't receive a confirmation by e-mail, fax, or mail within 5 days after any transaction, contact the CVC Housing Bureau from 9am to 7pm (EST) Monday through Friday at (800) 221-3531.

Which hotel is the CVC in Baltimore host hotel?
   The Renaissance Harborplace Hotel is the CVC host hotel where evening sessions and many of the preconvention programs will be held.

Wet Labs

Where do I meet the bus for off-site labs?

   Wet lab locations are stil TBD, but we will notify you where and when to meet if your wet lab will be held offsite.


How should I dress when attending a wet lab?

    Scrubs are not mandatory, but comfortable clothes are recommended. All attendees will be provided gowns to wear during labs if needed.
